Role: Finance Business Partner – Capital investments

Location: Arbor office with hybrid (3 days in office) regular travel to sites will be required

Were currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work on Capital investments. You’ll be partnering with project delivery, creative and the regional teams, the role not only ensures financial accuracy and diligence, but also operates as a problem solver and genuine business partner to the project team.

The role involves partnering with senior stakeholders across Merlin, and supporting delivery of some of the most ambitious capital projects in the company, including Minecraft and Paw Patrol.

• You’ll be leading and supporting project delivery, budget and scope, while maintaining independence sufficient to safeguard the company’s capital
• You’ll provide support and insight on data and digital, procurement, capital strategy, IP and Legal, and other business decisions for product implementation
• Work with the finance business partner to provide insight and analysis during project development
• Support with centralised improvement plans around capital processes and tools such as Smart Sheet
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process for capital developments, while ensuring alignment with company goals
• Ensure robust project cost monitoring vs project board paper and budget
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, balance risks and opportunities through a RAID logs
• Ensure stakeholders have the clearest guidance on project delivery expectations, metrics and key success criteria for successful project delivery as per the Board Paper commitment and budget
• Champion best practices in financial processes, leveraging technology and tools to drive efficiency
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations

Role & Responsibilities

• Professional finance qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent experience
• Qualification or proven experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within a global or multi-functional organisation
• Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering with corporate functions
• Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and tools
• Prior experience in the construction sector is highly desirable
