Role: ERP NetSuite Solutions Architect
Location: Basingstoke, with hybrid working and some travel to the Arbor office.
There will also be occasional travel to Germany

This role is pivotal for ensuring that Merlin’s NetSuite solutions are robust, future-proof, and fully aligned with business needs.
The Solutions Architect not only shapes the functional and technical landscape but also safeguards the integrity and scalability of the system as business requirements evolve.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the SME on Merlin finance systems, providing critical knowledge and acting as the gatekeeper for all NetSuite design decisions
- Ensure all technical solutions are aligned with Merlin’s business requirements and strategic objectives
- Look to ensure as vanilla solution design as possible; being mindful of in-country regulatory requirements
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical NetSuite solutions, leveraging Merlin systems knowledge to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
- Sell NetSuite functionality to business stakeholders, highlighting ways in which requirements can be fulfilled
- Provide input and challenge at design approvals, ensuring all proposed solutions are robust, scalable, and compliant with Merlin standards
- Manage the detailed NetSuite solution design, ensuring applicability and compatibility with the current instance
- Continuously assess and manage risks associated with changes to the NetSuite instance, ensuring system integrity and business continuity
- Oversee the integration of NetSuite with Merlin and third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment
- Validate that all integrations and customisations are compatible with the existing NetSuite environment
- Serve as the keeper of critical NetSuite knowledge post-implementation, providing high-level support to the FSS (Finance Shared Services) function
- Ensure that support processes are in place to meet current and future business demands, acting as the escalation point for complex NetSuite issues
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation and enhancement
- Stay current with NetSuite and Merlin system updates, ensuring the organisation leverages new features and best practices
