Technical Manager

The Technical Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and performance of the Technical Department at the Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham. This role oversees a team of Technicians to ensure the attraction operates to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and presentation across all areas — including rides, cinema, displays, show systems, building fabric, facilities, and equipment.
The Technical Manager will ensure all assets are maintained safely, effectively, and in full compliance with statutory and company policies and procedures, driving a proactive maintenance culture that minimises downtime and maximises guest experience.
They will also manage maintenance and capital projects, including planning applications and lifecycle works, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
The role carries accountability for delivering against KPIs, SLAs, and cost-control targets, while maintaining compliance with Merlin Entertainments and LEGO Group procedures, ensuring robust operational standards, documentation, and audit readiness across all technical platforms and processes.
