About the Role

As a Commercial manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of all commercial areas, including Retail, Food & Beverage, and additional revenue streams such as Photo and Games. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team, maintain high-quality merchandising standards, and ensure on-brand product availability to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the daily operation of all commercial areas, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Lead, train, and develop the commercial team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Monitor stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure effective merchandising and display presentation in line with brand guidelines.
  • Drive sales performance by identifying revenue opportunities and implementing promotional activities.
  • Maintain high standards of cash handling, loss prevention, and financial accountability.
  • Organize staff rotas to ensure adequate cover within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure that all commercial activities align with the Midway commercial strategy and customer service expectations.
  • Maintain strict Health & Safety compliance across all commercial operations.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Working any 5 days from 7, including working a regular fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A results-driven leader with a background in retail, hospitality, or commercial operations.
  • Strong team management skills with experience in staff training and performance development.
  • Excellent understanding of stock management, merchandising, and financial performance metrics (Revenue, SPH, Gross Profit).
  • Experience in cash handling, sales reporting, and financial accountability.
  • A creative problem-solver who can adapt to changing trends and consumer demands.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and creating impactful displays.
  • Confident in using IT systems for stock and sales management.
