Zonal Control Manager

Location: Thorpe Park

Hours: Working 5 out of 7 days between the hours of 8:30am - 9:00pm

 

At Thorpe Park, we’re all about delivering unforgettable experiences - and that starts with seamless operations behind the scenes. As Zonal Control Manager, you’ll lead a key team at the heart of park coordination, ensuring everything runs smoothly so our guests can focus on the fun.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support Zonal Operations Controllers, ensuring they have the tools, training, and guidance to perform effectively.
  • Oversee daily operations, manage team performance, and handle employee relations, including wellbeing and performance conversations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Zonal Managers to align on priorities and ensure collaborative problem-solving.
  • Monitor ride performance, guest feedback, and incidents, ensuring timely responses and clear communication across departments.
  • Coordinate operational requests from triage to resolution, ensuring tasks are prioritised and followed up effectively.
  • Design and improve operational processes, including timecard management, staffing coordination, and systems oversight.
  • Track and report KPIs to senior leadership, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, manage incident reporting, and promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
  • Support cross-functional alignment, recognising how ZOC activities contribute to wider resort goals and guest experience.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in operations management in a fast-paced environment (Such as hospitality, leisure, or theme parks).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong operational awareness and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication across multiple platforms (radio, email, digital).
  • Proficient in using performance dashboards and digital systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and adaptability.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
