Public Relations Manager US & UK - SEA LIFE Cluster

The PR Manager – UK & North America, SEA LIFE Cluster plays a key role in shaping, promoting, and protecting the reputation of SEA LIFE attractions across the UK and North America. Working closely with the SEA LIFE Cluster Go To Market Director, this role delivers consumer-facing PR, proactive issue management, and stakeholder engagement in support of the cluster’s growth plans.
You will develop and deliver integrated PR activity across individual attractions and at cluster level, identifying opportunities to tell compelling stories, drive positive media coverage, and leverage the wider Merlin brand where appropriate. Working collaboratively with PR colleagues, GTM teams, and agency partners, you will ensure PR is fully aligned with marketing plans and commercial priorities.
The role also supports crisis and issue management, responding in line with agreed frameworks and escalating where required. You will build strong relationships with key media, manage press office activity, and support SEA LIFE business leaders in engaging with local stakeholders.
Minimum of three years’ experience in communications or PR, with a proven track record of proactive media engagement.
Experience supporting crisis and issue management, including risk mitigation through careful planning.
Confident engaging with internal and external stakeholders and managing sensitive relationships.
Experience working in a high-profile, public-facing environment, with strong judgement and attention to detail in public communications.
