Senior Performance Marketing Manager - UK South

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Performance Marketing Manager to join our Go To Market team and lead paid media campaigns across the UK South cluster of Merlin’s world-renowned attractions. You will take ownership of the strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid search, paid social, display, programmatic media, and other digital advertising channels, working closely with SEO/GEO, Social, Direct Sales, and Marketing teams to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions while maximising return on investment.
We are looking for someone to develop and implement paid media strategies across Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms, manage large-scale campaigns, and ensure efficient budget allocation and bid management to meet KPIs and ROAS. You will lead campaign planning, execution, and optimisation with internal teams and external agencies, implement keyword targeting strategies, optimise ad copy, bidding, and landing pages, and continuously run A/B tests to improve performance. Monitoring and reporting on campaign effectiveness and providing actionable insights to stakeholders will also be part of the role.
We are looking for a collaborative and innovative marketer who can work closely with marketing, content, and direct sales teams to maintain consistent messaging and a seamless customer experience. You will support the Global Performance Marketing Director in managing external agencies, test new channels to reach target audiences, and stay ahead of trends and technologies, including AI and automation, to ensure Merlin remains competitive.
5–7 years’ experience managing large-scale paid media campaigns with a proven track record of driving performance and ROI
Strong expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta, programmatic advertising, and Google Analytics
Experience using paid media management tools such as SEMrush, WordStream, or similar
Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage large budgets efficiently
Experience in the travel, entertainment, or leisure industry is a plus, with familiarity in managing international campaigns across multiple regions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to achieve business objectives
