Fancy working in what can only be described as a giant box of LEGO?!

We’re on the lookout for a Technical Manager, responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and performance of the Technical Department LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester.

This role oversees a team of Technicians to ensure the attraction operates to the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation across all areas, including rides, cinema, displays, show systems, building fabric, facilities and equipment.

The Technical Manager will ensure all assets are maintained safely, effectively and in full compliance with statutory and company policies and procedures, driving a proactive maintenance culture that minimises downtime and maximises guest experience.

They will also manage maintenance and capital projects, including planning applications and lifecycle works, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.

This is a full time, permanent role, working any 5 days out of 7. This will include weekends and bank holidays, with flexibility required to support a live Resort environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified to a City & Guild or NVQ level 2 or equivalent within an Electrical Engineering/Technician discipline
  • Experience of working within a heavy industrial/automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, Airport or Theme Park
  • Extensive experience at a Technical Management level and well versed in both Technical and Health and Safety.
  • Strong track record of vendor performance management, including escalation and dispute resolution.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Experience of PPM Systems of Work
