Vice President, Transformation - Operations

Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the Vice President, Transformation – Operations will lead the development and delivery of Merlin’s global operations transformation agenda. This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing a multi-year transformation strategy that drives operational excellence, business performance, innovation, and sustainable growth across the organisation.

 

The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of complex strategic initiatives, ensuring effective governance, prioritisation, delivery, and value realisation. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, they will champion technology-enabled transformation, modernise operating models, and embed a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and change adoption across global teams.

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders and key external stakeholders, the VP will build high-performing transformation and delivery capabilities, foster cross-functional collaboration, and leverage digital, data, automation, and AI solutions to enhance efficiency, guest experience, and commercial outcomes.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Visionary leadership in group-wide transformation: The ability to articulate a compelling vision for the future and mobilise the entire organisation to achieve it through delivery and collaboration
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior role in a global High emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strategic and financial acumen: A deep understanding of business operations and financial performance to ensure transformation efforts drive measurable business outcomes, which are owned by the business but curated and sequenced by your experience.
  • Advanced delivery expertise: Extensive experience with program management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
  • Superior communication and influence: Skilled at telling a story about the transformation to inspire and motivate others, from front-line staff to board members.
  • Adaptability and resilience: The capacity to lead through complexity and ambiguity while remaining outcome focused.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, budgeting tools, and safety compliance protocols.
