We have a new opportunity for a talented and motivated Group Tax Accountant to join our dynamic Tax and Treasury team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role is crucial in ensuring our corporation tax compliance and reporting are timely and accurate at both group and local levels. This role will be based at our Head Office in Poole and reports to the Group Direct Tax Manager. It is a hybrid role for those looking for more flexibility in their working week (typically 3 days office based per week).

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • UK Compliance: Prepare and submit UK corporate tax computations with external advisors and finance staff, manage SAO compliance, and support tax risk management.
  • Group Reporting: Oversee year-end tax reporting under IFRS, liaise with global finance staff and external auditors, and prepare group effective tax rate and cash tax forecasting.
  • UK Reporting: Manage statutory reporting tax disclosures under UK GAAP, collaborating with external auditors.
  • Global Compliance: Maintain Transfer Pricing documentation, monitor group-wide compliance, and support BEPS 2.0 reporting obligations.

In this role, you will provide ad-hoc support and guidance to global sites, respond to HMRC queries, and identify and implement process improvements. You will also evaluate opportunities to maximise tax reliefs, perform scenario analysis to support business decisions, and develop internal training, guidance, and process materials.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), ideally specialising in corporate tax.
  • Background/experience in tax.
  • Experience with multinational finance departments is advantageous but not essential.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction across departments and with external advisors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
