Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner – Marketing to join our Group Finance team on a permanent basis. The role has a flexible location with a hybrid-working available.

The Senior Finance Business Partner – Marketing is a strategic leadership role within Merlin's Finance division, aligning financial expertise with business objectives to drive growth and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in supporting the Marketing function, ensuring financial strategies and decisions are data-driven and aligned with the organisation’s global vision.

As part of the Finance team, the Senior Finance Business Partner operates within two homes: a functional home in Finance, providing robust financial expertise, and an operational home in the Marketing division, fostering collaboration and supporting strategic and operational initiatives. This dual alignment ensures that the role remains a trusted partner in financial decision-making while delivering on key business objectives.

• Lead collaboration between Finance and Marketing for financial accountability.

• Oversee financial management for capital-heavy marketing projects, ensuring budgets, timelines, and ROI.
• Monitor project performance and provide updates and recommendations.

Financial Analysis & Reporting 📈

• Deliver accurate financial analysis to drive informed marketing decisions.
• Use data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Risk & Compliance Management 🛡️

• Ensure compliance with regulations and governance standards.
• Identify, mitigate, and monitor financial risks within the Marketing portfolio.

People Leadership & Collaboration 🌟

• Mentor junior finance team members, promoting continuous learning.
• Bridge communication between Finance and Marketing teams for shared goals.

• Significant proven experience in senior finance roles, ideally within project-based environments or capital-intensive industries.

• Expertise in financial planning, project management, and business partnering.

• Experience working in a global organisation with complex financial structures.

• Professional qualifications in finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are essential. 

• Ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with organisational goals.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Strong ability to synthesise complex financial data into actionable insights.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.

• Resilience and creativity in addressing complex financial challenges.
