Now, we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to help amplify our brand stories across our London Gateway attractions and SEA LIFE centres across the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing:
📱 Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with the wider UK social media team to shape and roll out a cohesive social media strategy for London and SEA LIFE attractions nationally
- Set clear campaign goals, KPIs, and benchmarks that align with marketing and business objectives
🎨 Content Creation & Scheduling
- Be the creative force behind our organic social — from writing witty captions to producing eye-catching videos and planning shoots across attractions
- Share responsibility for the London attractions with another Social Media Manager, flexing focus based on seasonality and campaign priorities
- Ensure all content reflects Merlin’s tone of voice and global brand guidelines while keeping it fresh, fun, and platform-appropriate
🚀 Campaign Management
- Own the planning, execution, and optimisation of social media campaigns designed to drive engagement, footfall, and brand love
- Work closely with influencer partners, brand teams, and creative teams to deliver campaigns that leave a lasting impression
💬 Community Engagement
- Monitor and engage with our growing social media communities — answering questions, joining trending conversations, and keeping the vibe friendly and fun
- Build relationships with fans, influencers, and advocates to spark conversation and loyalty
📊 Analytics & Reporting
- Use Dash Social and other tools to track performance metrics and report on results
- Deliver monthly reports packed with insights, wins, and ideas to make our social output even better
- Keep your finger on the pulse of community sentiment and trends to help guide content decisions
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the other Social Media Manager for London to divide and conquer content responsibilities
- Collaborate across digital, regional marketing, PR, and global brand teams for consistent storytelling
- Align with the Paid Media Manager to ensure synergy between organic and paid social efforts
🚧 Innovation & Trendspotting
- Keep your eyes open for the next big trend — whether it’s a new platform feature, a viral challenge, or a clever brand moment
- Help lead innovation in digital storytelling, testing new formats and fresh ways of showcasing our brands
- Stay clued into competitors and cultural shifts that can shape our social approach
