Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for a Electrical Engineering Projects Manager to join our Technical Services team!

 

In this role, you’ll take ownership of creating and managing detailed project plans for ride upgrades, ensuring that every task is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your work will be critical in guaranteeing a smooth technical launch ahead of each season.

 

A key part of your role will involve identifying and implementing technical solutions that improve the reliability and performance of our rides. By analysing incidents and understanding recurring issues, you'll help minimise downtime and reduce long-term operational costs. Your ability to capture the bigger picture while managing detailed, hands-on planning will be essential to success.

 

You’ll also be responsible for ensuring clear communication of project goals, labour allocation, and deadlines to all relevant stakeholders. Maintaining oversight of progress through regular inspection and monitoring, you will continuously refine project delivery processes to meet the Resort’s operational targets. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your leadership and attention to detail will make a direct impact on guest experience and the long-term performance of our attractions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND-level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong background in heavy engineering at management level, ideally gained within a theme park
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in construction or facilities management
  • Project management qualification (Prince2, APM, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of ADIPS scheme and HSE guidance (HSG175) would be desirable
  • Strong understanding of risk management, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • Skilled in Microsoft Project or similar tools
  • Problem-solving who thrives under pressure
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, within the construction industry would be an advantage
