Here at Chessington World of Adventures, we are offering an exciting placement opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join our People team.

This is a fantastic chance to develop your HR career, giving you valuable exposure and support on all aspects of employee relations, with a particular focus on assisting with investigations and learning how to coach and manage effective ER casework for our frontline staff.

Reporting directly to the People Business Partners, this placement will act as a key support for a variety of operational and staff-related tasks, helping to ensure that people processes are followed and standards are upheld across the Resort.

In this role you will contribute to a positive workplace culture, develop your understanding of HR and employee relations, enhance your communication and problem-solving skills, and gain hands-on experience in supporting the Resort’s People Objectives.

This role is fixed term until 31st December 2025 and is based on site at Chessington World of Adventures. You will be working up to 40 hours per week which may include a small number of evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Working hours are negotiable which we are open to discussing during the application process.

Qualifications & Experience

Ideally, we would like someone who has had exposure to an HR environment, either through studying or previous work experience. We would also welcome applications from someone who is completing or nearing completion of their CIPD, or a related subject such as Business or Psychology.

Our ideal candidate is someone highly competent and organised, who has great note taking skills and an ability to interpret and advise on a situation under the guidance of the People Business Partners and Policy and procedure.

The role will have a lot of interactions with different stakeholders so the ability to communicate effectively and manage expectations will be key.
