Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for a Technical Author to join our Technical Services team!

This is a vital role responsible for the creation, management, and continuous improvement of all maintenance-related documentation. From standard operating procedures to ride-specific manuals and compliance materials, you will ensure our documentation is always clear, accurate, up to date, and aligned with engineering and safety standards.

As Technical Author, you will take ownership of the documentation process, particularly in relation to new systems such as HSP14. You will work closely with engineering teams, ride manufacturers, and safety personnel to gather detailed technical information and translate it into accessible and practical documents for a wide range of users. Your work will support key operational areas by producing user-friendly training guides, visual aids, and manuals designed for varying levels of technical expertise.

You will be responsible for maintaining and updating our document management system, ensuring all materials are easy to access, properly version-controlled, and ready for audit. In addition, you will contribute to departmental briefings and ensure all staff are kept informed of updates and procedural changes. Integration of documentation with training programs will be a key part of your role, helping to ensure consistency in technical instruction across the team.
