Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance department on a permanent basis. The role will be based at our any of our UK offices with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

 

Finance Strategy & Leadership

  • Support the development and execution of a finance strategy aligned with Merlin’s wider business goals

  • Advise Finance leadership on performance, planning, investments, and operations

  • Ensure Finance initiatives meet business needs and align with corporate objectives

Global Finance Operations

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency while adapting to local requirements

  • Resolve complex financial issues raised by senior leaders

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and scenario modelling

  • Deliver high-quality financial insights and maintain robust financial models

Business Partnering & Compliance

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and compliance

  • Provide strategic financial support to senior management

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

  • Produce reports and presentations on performance and key drivers

  • Monitor and challenge performance to ensure goals are met

  • Support ad hoc financial projects as needed

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualification desirable

  • Experience in financial planning, and business partnering in complex organisations

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Confident communicator with stakeholder influencing ability

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; payroll system experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday) desirable

  • Commercially minded, proactive, and improvement-focused

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
