Animatronics Technician

Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, across a 7-day rota (any 5 days out of 7), some unsociable hours

Contract Type: Permanent, Salaried

 

 

Here at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort our 2025 season is in full swing, and we are recruiting for an Animatronics Technician to join our AWESOME Models & Theming Team!

 

 

Our awesome Animatronics Technicians form part of the wider Technical Services Creative Team, and they work with all of our animated models across the Resort and overnight accommodations! From initial design, build, repairs and daily checks our Animatronic Technicians keep the magic alive for LEGO fans of all ages when they visit the resort.

 

 

As an Animatronic Technician at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, you will utilise your animatronics expertise to ensure our guests are receiving the best possible experience when viewing or interacting with our animated models and features. Our animated models are checked daily with required repairs or replacement parts documented and implemented efficiently.

 

 

Please note, internally this role is known as Animator

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • A strong and proven background in Animatronics
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, basic electrical knowledge, audio and lighting design, and installation and mechanical components
  • Experience in using 2D and 3D modelling software and, ideally, knowledge of PLC software
  • You will be well trained on the safe and compliant use of hand tools, relevant animatronic equipment and machinery
  • This is a physical role so you must be comfortable with heavy lifting, bending, reaching walking around the resort (which can be hilly) and happy to be working outside in various weather conditions

About the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

We are looking for an Animatronics Technician to join our AWESOME team at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to three awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
